Seasons 1-8 will see shippers make bids on two of the shipments listed on the uShip website. This is a reverse auction type of format. Bids are typically accompanied by comments about the likely risk and cost and also the motivations and abilities. When the time limit for an auction runs out, the job is typically attributable to the bidder who has the lowest bid and at the discretion of the client however, it might be given to a bidder with a better average feedback rating from previous clients. In the case of the lowest bid, any ties will be dissolved by the feedback rating. Season 9 has shippers receiving their cargo from a shipping company. The bidding process isn't shown. Shippers load their cargo , and then try to get it delivered in good condition within the timeframe set by the buyer or the receiver. Client feedback ratings are displayed after the loads have been delivered. The episode ends by calculating each shipper's revenues and expenses. are subtracted from the bid for the purpose of determining the overall revenue or loss. Sometimes, shippers will offer to transport additional loads in the same journey. The extra money will be added to the total. In some cases there will be times when the shipper is incapable of completing a task due to concerns over load size/weight or road safety. Sometimes, one shipper may engage the help of another shipper to finish a task. The shippers then decide which way to split the earnings. The advancement of each shipment is disrupted by funny criticisms from other shippers during seasons 1-8.
