Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter Peter Silk - an academic and Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actor as well as a writer, director, and producer. Her father hails from Britain, while her mother is an "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and observing her mother at her job. When she was a kid, she was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting. In the decade which followed, she made the move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, at an actor's workshop. They were engaged by 2009 after getting married. Anna was converted to Judaism in January 2011 and the couple renewed their vows at the Jewish wedding in Fredericton.
