But it also smashed records across all over the world. Swift's second album, Speak Now, released just two years after the previous one, built on the success of this album. The album propelled Swift into the spotlight. Swift's popularity grew throughout the three albums that followed - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in the genre she was a part of. She was in the forefront of pop until she reverted to her signature style in her twin albums, folklore and Evermore in the year 2020.
